People love to “NAME DROP”, DON’T THEY?? People want to be associated with the rich and famous, no matter how far removed or associated with them the rich or famous person might be. EXPOUND-MY CLIENT AND DONALD TRUMP!!!

1 COR. 1:12-13-EXPOUND
EXPOUND-JOE JAMISON AND BILL MCDOWELL!!
WHY??? People think it gives them some “Association” or “Bridge” to that person and somehow enhances their business, church ego, and that others will KNOW that somehow they have a RELATIONSHIP with that famous person. They give the impression this “IMPLIED” relationship makes them special!!
OH--THE VANITY, DECEPTION, OF THE CARNAL MIND!!!!

MY QUESTION TODAY IS--HOW DO WE KNOW THAT THE NAME WE USE HERE & EVERYDAY--JESUS-- DOES GIVE US AN INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM? HOW DO WE KNOW WHETHER WE ARE FOOLING OURSELVES IN THE DECEPTION OF THE CARNAL MIND--OR--IS JESUS REALLY IN THIS CHURCH????? THERE ARE 3 KEYS TO THIS QUESTION AND THEY ARE FOUND IN: 1-JOHN 2:1-17

I JOHN 2:3-4--HE THAT SAYS I KNOW HIM!!!!
EXPOUND-All Christiandom says-Do you Know The Lord? You can be born again this Easter Sunday Morning by praying the sinners prayer with me right now and be assured you will go to heaven-Bless the Lord, Bless the Lord!!!! And you will begin to babble and jabber at the top of your lungs in some unknown tongue and that will PROVE YOU ARE IN HIM!!
Does that prove you KNOW Him-or did you just hear some lying message about Him? Strong word-**lying**-EXOUND!! Verse 4 with EPHESIANS 4:21!
HOW do we know--by keeping His commandments!!
MATTHEW 5:17-19-EXPOUND-Jesus’ Words-Commandments!
MATTHEW 28:19-20-EXPOUND-His Great Commission!!
When we get to this point--We can truly say “I know Him”

I JOHN 2:6-HE THAT SAYS I’M ABIDING IN HIM!!!!
ABIDE-#3306 in Strong’s Concordance**MENO** TO STAY(in a given place, state, relation or expectancy-ABIDE-TO CONTINUE-(Dwell-Endure-Be Patent-Remain-Stand For!!!)
MARK 10:46-52-Jesus stopped to show mercy & minister to others. And it did not matter what group they belonged to!!
JOHN 5:1-14-EXPOUND-COMPASSION//MATT9:35-38!! People searching for he TRUE ANSWERS TO LIFE!!
JOHN 15:5-EXPOUND-When we can interface with ANYONE-Showing Mercy & Compassion as Jesus did-then we can say--
I’M ABIDING IN HIM!!

I JOHN 2:9-HE THAT SAYS-I’M IN THE LIGHT!!!!
EXPOUND-I’m a Good Old Boy/Gal-Wouldn’t Do no Harm!!
YET-Hates his fellow man!!!! HATES-#3404-”MISEO”-TO DETEST(especially to persecute) To love less, To be hostile!!
OH-How many professing Christians HATE their brethren-HOW?
EXPOUND---Gossip-Critical-Judgmental-Jealous-Angry With!!
These traits make you blind-You walk in darkness!!!!
Then-What is the answer?? EXPOUND VERSE 10!!
When you can show No PARTIALITY!!
When you can ESTEEM OTHERS BETTER THAN YOURSELF!
When you no longer GOSSIP-JUDGE-BE JEALOUS OF---But want only the best for others & truly LOVE your brother AS JESUS DID can you say “I’M IN THE LIGHT”!!!!!

CONCLUSION
Brethren--Jesus IS IN this Church!! His name is not dropped here in vanity and ego-His name is kept in Reverence, His name is kept in Awe, for His name is the only name under heaven by which man can be saved and at his name ALL with bow and confess Him.

Let’s Keep His Commandments & KNOW HIM!!
Let’s Walk As He Walked & ABIDE IN HIM!!
Let’s Love As He Loved & BE IN THE LIGHT!!
